Yoga is a term that comes from a Sanskrit word which means yoke or union. Traditionally, yoga is a method of joining the individual self with the Divine, Universal Spirit, or Cosmic Consciousness. Physical and mental exercises are designed to help achieve this goal.
“I Ching” Goals Group Therapy is a weekly group class utilizing ancient Chinese Philosophy in dealing with modern issues and problems that prevent people from reaching their goals. The “I Ching” is a classic Chinese text designed to stimulate discussion and guide individuals toward realizing their goals.
5 Elements Group is a weekly group class that delves into the world of Chinese archetypes. This class offers the individual guidance on how to better understand and communicate their own patterns of addiction as well as indentify potentially harmful defects in their personality.
Mindfulness Training is a group class is classical Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with an Eastern Holistic point of view. During these weekly sessions, individuals learn to train the mind to distinguish between harmful and productive thoughts and behaviors.
Depth Psychotherapy is a weekly, private one-on-one session that analyzes the individual’s positive and negative qualities using principles of Jungian psycho-analysis.
Psycho-drama is a bi-weekly group class that uses techniques from interactive Brazilian Therapist Pablo Moreno to help patients discover their ability to express honest emotions in a safe and productive environment.
Sitting Through Cravings is a weekly class that serves as an outgrowth of traditional Relapse Prevention groups; however, it goes one step further. Individuals are encouraged to feel their cravings, but instead of satiating them, they sit, focus and meditate. This technique uses ancient meditation practices to teach individuals to take control of uncomfortable mind-body anxieties associated with drug/alcohol cravings.
Massage Therapy is a manual manipulation of the body's soft tissue for the purposeof stimulating circulation and promoting relaxation. Massage allows you a quiet time to focus on yourself and become more connected to your body.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Reiki is an unobtrusive way to connect with a patient energetically. Similar to a massage, however, Reiki uses sounds, scents, and positive intention to create an environment in which the individual heals themselves.
Kung fu is a highly refined system of self-improvement that instills confidence and fine tunes the body. Kung fu was fostered by peace-minded monks high in the mountains of China as a way to increase longevity and defend against oppression.
Personal Fitness Training is a one on one exercise/fitness class taught by a certified trainer. A strong, healthy mind and spirit needs to dwell in a strong and healthy body.
Private Meeting with Sifu is a one-on-one meeting with Sifu Mathew Carver where we discuss personal goals and strategies to obtain our goals. This time is also dedicated to private Martial Arts Instruction at the client’s discretion.
